Annulus & LVOT
Review systolic annular area and perimeter, LVOT dimensions and calcium distribution. Bulky subannular calcium and eccentric anatomy can change the choice within a chart overlap.
VASCULAR BAILOUT
Viabahn: manufacturer vessel ranges. Balloon-expandable: nominal-size reference; maximum expansion is a device limit, not a target vessel size.
Choose a platform for a larger chart or All for the complete sheet. Use plus and minus to zoom, arrow keys to move, and Home or zero to fit the current image. The Tables button opens the same data as text.
Native annulus · source review 9 September 2026
Enter / change measurements ↗Blue = chart match; amber = overlap or exact boundary. A dash means no verified native-annulus interval is tabulated. Diameter definitions differ by platform. Confirm the device generation and local IFU; clinical validation is pending. Native charts do not size valve-in-valve or redo-TAVI. PD = post-dilatation; NC = non-compliant; SC = semi-compliant. PD limits are source-specific ceilings, not automatic balloon recommendations. Device references checked 10 September 2026. “Not specified” means no fixed mean sinus-of-Valsalva cutoff was identified in the reviewed IFU. Sheath French sizes are not minimum vessel diameters.

BEYOND ANNULAR SIZE
Use these prompts alongside the full CT, the exact device IFU and heart-team assessment. The app does not rank valves or calculate procedural risk.
Review systolic annular area and perimeter, LVOT dimensions and calcium distribution. Bulky subannular calcium and eccentric anatomy can change the choice within a chart overlap.
Assess coronary heights, leaflet length and calcium, sinus dimensions and STJ. Plan commissural alignment, future coronary access and the implications of a later redo procedure.
Consider expected haemodynamics relative to annular and patient size. Review the baseline ECG, membranous septum and intended implant depth when assessing conduction risk.
Check the minimum lumen along the whole route, calcium, tortuosity and aortic angulation. A nominal French label is not the maximum outer diameter of an expandable sheath or delivery capsule.
EDWARDS SAPIEN 3 FAMILY
Tip length matters when positioning the delivery balloon across the valve. Review the tapered-tip and working lengths for each valve size.
Open full-screen reference ↗MEDTRONIC EVOLUT R / PRO
Inflow, waist and outflow diameters, with frame, commissure and skirt heights for all four sizes. The 34 mm column applies to Evolut R.
Open full-screen reference ↗The native annulus alone is insufficient. Bicuspid assessment includes raphe, leaflet calcium and supra-annular geometry. Valve-in-valve and redo-TAVI require the existing valve model, true internal dimensions, CT simulation and coronary obstruction / sinus sequestration assessment. This release provides no automatic sizing for these scenarios.
TRACEABLE BY DESIGN
Published endpoints are inclusive; every matching size is returned. Overlaps stay visible. Entered values are not rounded before comparison. Each result names its measurement. A missing area is never estimated from perimeter, or vice versa.
For Evolut FX / FX+, perimeter equivalents are calculated from the current published diameter endpoints (π × diameter, rounded to 0.1 mm). These are 56.5–62.8, 62.8–72.3, 72.3–81.7 and 81.7–94.2 mm for the 23, 26, 29 and 34 mm valves. The same rounded ranges appear in Medtronic’s earlier R / PRO sizing guide. The app matches the entered perimeter directly against the displayed bands, so a shared cut-off returns both adjacent sizes. These calculated equivalents are labelled; they are not presented as a separately verified FX / FX+ IFU perimeter table. Confirm the current local IFU at a limit.
For a closed annular contour, perimeter² must be at least 4π × area. If the entered pair falls below 99% of that geometric limit, comparison is paused; the 1% allowance accommodates rounding and is not a clinical sizing rule.
For Navitor and Allegra, both published area and perimeter ranges are checked when both measurements are entered. Disagreement is shown instead of choosing a size. Myval's “perimeter” column gives nominal prosthesis circumference, not a native annulus interval, and is not used for matching.
UK / European practice is the focus: SAPIEN 3 family, Evolut FX / FX+, Navitor / Titan, Myval and Allegra, plus Trilogy for native AR. Only documented generations are matched. Other regional or investigational systems and unverified newer variants are not assigned borrowed ranges.
